Konoba Sidro

We had dinner here and it was really great! The staff was incredibly nice, our server Srdjan was very polite and helpful. We ended up having three courses but sharing dessert because the portions were quite big. We greatly enjoyed our night and the price was was also really good for what we got.

On Sunday 3 Sep 2023 around 6 pm we arrived at Konoba Sidro in Flengi. We had deliberately chosen the restaurant to eat suckling pig. In front of the restaurant you can already see three suckling pigs turning on the spit from the street. I am always a little skeptical about restaurants that are located directly on a main road. Usually they are more expensive and not particularly good quality, because you actually go to the restaurant because of the location. The restaurant was about a third full. We were greeted in a friendly manner and shown to a nice table for two. The friendly waitress came right over with the menus and took the drink order. I chose 400g of suckling pig (€22) and rice (€4) and grilled vegetables (€6) on the side. To drink, I ordered a local Schwarzbier (€ 4,20). The waiter explained to me on inquiry, that 400g are a normal portion, since also bones are with it. So I abandoned the original idea to order the 1kg portion. My wife ordered Schnitzel Viennese style with fries for € 14, - plus a small side salad for € 4, -. The atmosphere in the restaurant was quiet and relaxed. We enjoyed the time until the food was served after about 15 min. The meat of the suckling pig was very good. It was not completely dry and also the fat content was low. The skin of the suckling pig was unfortunately not completely crispy and crunchy. Parts of it tasted really crisp but other areas were a bit tough and rubbery. The rice was excellent. It had almost the consistency of rice pudding, but was salted and decorated with herbs. It tasted great. On the grilled vegetable plate were a bit much onions and little zucchini and peppers. For € 6, - I expect a larger portion. But even this plate tasted very good. In total, the meal for two people cost about € 56, -. I would give the restaurant a 7 out of 10 points. Would I recommend it? Yes, I would, but point out the not completely crusty pork skin and that the prices are, in my opinion, a bit high for Croatian standards. I myself live in Germany on Lake Constance and am used to more expensive prices in restaurants.

Stopped here for a dinner. Platter for 2 with a salad, food was very tasty. Staff where extremely polite and genuinely friendly, highly recommended if your passing thanks guys

This is a great place to stop in for a bite to eat. Yes I was affected by the pig roasting on the spit but they have many other options. Fish, chicken, lamb on the spit, salads and plenty of options of pork is not your thing. The staff are great and friendly. Very close to the seaside so the seafood is fresh. Stop in if you are near here you will be placed that you did. Sorry I was so excited about the food that I forgot to take a picture of the plates of food!!

We have stopped just because we saw they have a fresh backed pork, and lamb...but, the ambience, stuff,and, most of all the quality of food was excellent, if not above that...Certainly worth visiting (more than once),I'm sure we will go there again

A must visit if passing by or destination for a fantastic meal!! Staff are amazing ! Food was delicious. Family friendly!! You definitely need to visit and eat here
